The Ten Commandments

One Manifesto that I feel is important to me is the Ten Commandments. It says 10 things that a Jew should not do. The ten commandments are,
1. I am the Lord Your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage
2. You shall have no other gods beside Me.
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord Your God in vain
4. Remember the Sabbath, to keep it holy.
5. Honor your father and your mother
6. You shall not murder
7. You shall not commit adultery
8. You shall not steal
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor;
10. You shall not covet your neighbor's house
 These commandments are important to me because I have loved them all my life and try to do my best to follow these commandments. Every Jew should follow these ten commandments. This is a manifesto because it tells you what to do and how to believe.

  1. I am under the impression that the 10 commandments are guidelines for people who choose Christianity as their religion, not as a prohibitive for those who are of the Jewish faith. This forum and all of the blog entries must be respectful of all kinds of people no matter their race, religion, color, educational background, ethnicity, ability, height, size, weight or other taxonomical factor. Please be mindful of this when you post your comments.
