Psychoanalysis

Freud is right that things that the society suppresses tend to manifest themselves in a different way. I'm not sure that when a child sucks the thumb he is trying to fulfill the sexual desire. But I think he is trying to express her feelings in a different way. I think she is trying to fulfill the feelings of hunger. When I was a child I don't remember sucking a thumb and trying to fulfill any sexual desire. I still suck my thumb from a childhood but it was never for sexual intentions.
